This year has been a crap year, there is no doubt about that. What is funny though is that the job market seems to be doing okay considering. At the time my new company made an offer, I actually had two other offers from other companies. One was from The Asian Banker who displayed a complete lack of professionalism when they offered and then backtracked to not honor the offer. I was okay in that I take the nothing is confirmed till I have it signed off approach.

Since starting my new job, I’ve had two calls from headhunters eager to offer my positions. I mean, seriously, where were you guys before? But I do have to hand it to them, they are tenacious once they think they have a bone – in spite of telling them that I’ve just started with a new company, they still seem eager to entice me into considering.

There are some jokers out there.
