In my previous line of work as an events organizer, I had the opportunity to meet some real characters and some of them were quite inspirational. Then you get the occasional piece of jack-ass that you wonder where you were when they were doling out jammy tarts in Heaven.

Take for example one speaker, who in spite of being a “professional” speaker, who decided to threaten our staff that he wouldn’t speak on account of not having a white board to write on¹. My old colleague affectionately knows him as the wayang presumably because of his rather overly demonstrative body language during his talk².

Well, you would think that this motivational speaker would have some respect from the poor souls he sells his courses to³. Unfortunately not, as he decided to send a rather opportunitistic email to encourage people that this is the time to take advantage of the world and people.

It was the recession that allowed me to hire so may great people at such low salaries, take up a 12,000 square foot office in the heart of CBD at just $4 per square foot.

Yes, you are a clever bugger aren’t you? People during these recessions are at rock bottom prices, so why not take full advantage of their predicament and secure a nice fair wage for them.

I shan’t name names but if you are reading this, please know that you, sir, are known as a prized idiot.
