I find this somewhat amusing in that the writing positions the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore as the defining authority of all that is safe and wonderful.
"What changed her mind was when she found out that the strawberry-flavoured milk by popular brand Dutch Lady had been found to be contaminated with melamine and ordered to be taken off the shelves by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA)."
Classic propaga… sorry marketing… 1. Identify a target audience (the doubters) 2. Help them relate (empathize with their mindset by showing you identify) 3. Provide the solution (But even she had to eventually change in the face of definitive proof of the benefit…") The headline should tell you the intentions of this do-gooder piece.

Yeah, the headlines in Singapore are quite sensationalized. I blame the parents for this (should have instilled the concepts of danger, pain and whatnot better) and the teacher should have stowed the dangerous items better.
