It’s nice of the Japanese to clarify what this whole Japan-China furore is about. Gas. Really, do you think that the Chinese government can’t crack down on 20,000 protestors if they wanted to? The leftist would have us believing so. Of course, there was that other 30,000 protestor riot that was against the Chinese government which seems not to have had a massive crackdown… yet.

Sure the stated issue is the Japanese track record during World War II but let’s not kid ourselves. It’s all political wrangling and positioning. More scary are the images of the riots that sort of remind me of a colour version of black and white scenes we saw just before World War II in Germany and Italy. Go figure.
