$3million dollar pledge. It’s a shame because we no longer get to see the lovely Linda Park anymore. Anyway, the premise was a little flawed in that the series was set in the conceptual past of the universe. I suspect that the producers thought that this would allow them the benefit of revisiting Star Trek’s moralising roots. Star Trek: TOS worked because everyone was into that. Star Trek:TNG worked because it offered a glimpse to really cool future. Deep Space Nine failed because who wants to be stuck on an oil rig? Sheez, it was Cardassian in the first place, not even cool Utopia like sets. And Voyager? This is the song that never ends….
