April 12, 2005 The Ups and Downs
It’s funny how the interface of something can put you off it. Using WordPress on two other sites, coming back to pMachine feels positively dated. When I find the time, I’ll definitely have to convert over to WordPress.
Anyway, posting up as a courtesy for any readers I have left, it’s been a tough and busy week. I’ve finally finished off the design/structure for a new site I’m putting together about wakeboarding. Unfortunately, the content isn’t all there yet so I’m not unveiling it to the world at large just yet. But at least I’m getting the business into some form of order. What do I do? I’m not telling yet. (Childish, but I’m not ready to expose myself on this just quite yet).
On the personal front, it’s been a week of ups and downs. Quite an emotional ride. The major issue though has been a family situation that I don’t really think it’s right to elaborate on here. All I’ll say is it involved my sister and has had my family all in a bit of a state as we anxiously awaited news on her situation. She’s not completely out of the woods yet but the worst for now seems to have passed. It’s times like these that I wish I was still back in Europe so that I was closer to my family.
And with my birthday coming up along with my nephew’s, who’s the eldest son of my sister, I think it will be a little hard to celebrate when thoughts go out to family and close ones.
Anyway…
On a positive note, my dear friend Wendy and her lovely boyfriend, Peter, have had their first baby. It’s great to hear some positive news at this time. Congratulations to them!
