Greener Grass

Been jam packed busy with designing a new website, so apologies for the lack of posts. Yep, there’s even a Google term for my behavior.

I’m really resisting the urge to move my blog to WordPress. It’s a great bit of script and the way it manages posts, categories and templates is so painless. It’s making pMachine look a little dated. Although, having said that, the folks at pM have released ExpressionEngine with a hefty 140 USD price tag. I’d say ExpressionEngine’s a great bit of functional software if you’re planning on building something more technically complex and sophisticated, and have manhours to master it. If you’re looking for a blog script, go the WordPress way.

Of course, it might be the grass is always greener somewhere else syndrome in play. After my move to Apple, I’m still smiling sitting behind the damn thing. But it’s not really a fair comparison… Microsoft has had about 15 years to disappoint me.
