October 5, 2004 iPod are sooo out
Don’t get me wrong. The iPod has me salivating with its sleek design and deceptively fun user interface. The backend tech is also exciting with firewire support and iTunes synchronisation.
But it seems everyone has one these days. Or wants one.
It looks sad when everyone is driving the same car. It looks sad when everyone is wearing the same clothes. It looks sad when everyone has the same phone. And no doubt, it will be sad when everyone has the same iPod.
Okay, so I’m just jealous. I heard this weekend that one of my friends succumbed to the iPod pull and bought herself one. Yep. Am I jealous? Well, I posted it up, didn’t I???

Long live the Zen!!
I got myself a Zen Touch about 6 weeks ago. Slightly bigger and not as sleek as the iPod. BUT, the battery lasts more than just half a day, I can load music in and download OUT of the device and lastly I actually get some buttons on it in addition to the touch pad and all for a cheaper price. (About 400HKD less than the iPod over here).
I also like the navigation better but that’s probably because I’m used to the Zen.

Creative is cool but there is a lack of support for Macs.
That new iPod sounds interesting. Maybe next year…
