I’m so happy that boots seem to be a yearly seasonal thing here in Hong Kong. In the rest of the world, it seems to be a passing fancy and in the UK, with the winter streets infested with troglodytes, boots are a rarity.
Yet I’ve noticed that you have to be careful in the early boot season. The gals that are too eager to slink into booties are usually the ones that probably couldn’t wait for the weather to change so that they could catch some fella in their leathered trap. Yep, walking around Causeway Bay tonight there seemed to be a good turn-out of boots but the faces were a complete turn-off. Plenty of women out there who’s only asset is the ability to pull off the boot thing and not much else.
Now, to wait for mid-season when the hot gals start to break in the knee-highs.
Yep, I have a complete fetish for boots. And I’m… errr… not ashamed to admit it. Let the festival of boots begin!

What’s worrying about Yasser Arafat being let out of Israel for medical treatment in France is not so much that the Israelis won’t let him back into the country, but that he might actually die. I say this not out of any humanitarian sympathies, since the man was, is and will always be a terrorist, but more out of concern that his incompetence has left a Palestinian people who are factionalised and who’s only source of potential unity is himself. His own ego and stubborness only contribute to his failure to appoint a successor to himself.
Once there was a world that recognised terrorist leaders as the cowards and low-lives that they are and where no tears would have been shed at their loss - Gadhafi, Arafat, Adams - yet with the changing geopolitical landscape, we are apparently forced to recognise them as “civil” leaders. Should Arafat’s health fail and take a turn for the worse, I have a horrible suspicion we’ll be reflecting on his great contribution to the peace process while writing off his responsibility in the bombings, kidnappings and other terrorist activities as his “colourful” past in media-speak.

I must have been half asleep when I read about this on Shaky’s website…
But when my Mac warns me about an update to my iTunes and support for uploading photos to a iPod Photo, I’m definitely awake!
iPod Photo
I knew there must be a reason that I shouldn’t buy a regular old iPod…
Of course, Apple seems to be trying to get the juice out of the old iPod with it’s U2 Special Edition iPod. But, errr…let’s face it, no matter how good Bono and the gang are, who’d pass up the opportunity to get an iPod with photo capabilities?
Great stuff, now I just need iPod to check my mail, surf the Net and become my Sony PDA and away we go!

Tired of hearing George W. prattle on in that funny Dubya-speak that probably only makes sense to him and Cheney? Well, here’s a chance to help him become more coherent…
Give George W. Bush a Brain
Might be your last chance to ridicule him before he leaves office!

I think there is a conspiracy at Wellcome. No, it’s not the price fixing and colluding with Park ‘N Shop that nobody likes to talk about. It’s the plastic bags. I’m reasonably sure that they have a deal with some plastics manufacturer to buy a quota of plastic bags from them. The reason I know this? I’ve concluded my near-scientific study of plastic bag issuing behaviour by the checkout gals.
No matter how many items I buy, whether it be a basket of three or four items to a trolley load of swag, I still get double the amount of plastics bags I need to carry the stuff home in. Yes, that would mean that I do get two plastic bags for four items. I didn’t think it was possible until today.
