August 25, 2004 Da Vinci Code – The Movie
The Da Vinci Code will be hitting the big screens some time in 2005. With director Ron Howard at the helm, we can probably expect a reasonable degree of quality and faithfulness to the story. More worrying is that Russell Crowe is tipped off as the lead of Langdon. Crowe’s a good actor but bring too much confidence and cocksuredness to the character.
In any case, I’m sure it will be great fun to watch the film and will no doubt put the Catholic Church back on the defensive.

lets hope hollywood don’t make any more of dan brown’s books into movies.
they are all the same book with different names and slightly different subjects.
if you’ve only read the da vinci code, I suggest you stop there and don’t put yourself through the torture of his other crap.

Have read Angels and Demons. Although it’s chronologically the first book written, it’s the one I recommend second to people. I like them to think about the whole Da Vinci think but then the second one clearly helps remind people he’s just an author and it’s just a novel.

I think they’ve cast Kate Beckinsale as Sophie too.

Oh yes, forgot about that.
Another (good) reason to watch it.
