Bush apparently announced that he’s going to bring home US troops by reducing the numbers in Europe and Asia. The largest proportion of these are in Germany and Japan just in case these two countries get uppity again and start to have ideas of world conquest again.

I can’t be bothered to find the evidence but I seem to recall that Bush said the same thing last time he was running for the presidency. I know this because this was the one reason why I actually thought he might be good for the world when he was elected. Much to my shame, I was so wrong about that one.
