June 20, 2004 A Night of Women
I was down in D’apartment tonight for a friend’s birthday and it proved to be a surreal evening. At the start of the evening, I see a girl that looks like Cheng Sau-Man. I think it’s her ’cause there’s a whole group of people around her. I take a closer look, and it turns out it isn’t her.
Anyway, after a while she disappears. My friend told me I should have taken my chances and she helpfully pointed out that it wasn’t surprising, if she looked like Sammi, that she was surrounded by guys. Thanks for that. Aforementioned friend got chatted up with perhaps one of the worst pickup lines I’ve heard ever. Hardly surprising, since he was French.
Then I bump into a girl I’ve been tangoing with over the last two years at various bars and venues. I once had the nerve to chat her up in the old Liquid bar. We sort of hit it off but didn’t, if you get what I mean. She gave me her email address and in reply to an email, she decided to reject me outright (note, friendly email was sent to her not written in my usual leching style). Fair enough.
Then I bump into her in Dragon-i and do a shot of vodka with her before I finished off the remaining half-bottle for myself. Then again at Bling’s launch party where she just sort of blew me off again. You’d think I’d get the hint? I did sort of, because despite a promise to reply to my emails, I never sent her one again.
Anyway, tonight, it turns out I should have emailed her since she brought it up this time herself. I think I might just email her.
It’s freaky too since, earlier this evening, I also bumped into this girl I was sort of dating for two weeks. I broke it off with her since I fancied her friend too much, who was a flight attendant for JAL.
Strange night.
