The year is off to a great start. Not.

My business partner has decided to back out. So my business is more freelance and with CNY I’ve let that side slide.

Singapore isn’t calling me or letting me know anything. I did get an email from an AD asking me for more information. Most people I know are more realistic and tell me it’s not going to happen. Some people have told me that they really don’t expect me to leave HK at all. For a time, my loyalty to my former agency kept me from pursuing anything else aggressively, in case Singapore came through. It’s moving very slowly and at their pace.

It’s seems to be a never ending process of dangling cheese. Well, if they recognized my skills or something they wanted, I’d imagine things would move faster. But at this rate, they are missing the boat – and I’ll be damned now if I take a lower salary than is my worth (I was going to stomach a reduced pay level). I’ve had enough of people taking the piss last year and this year will be different.
