Had James and Amy over for dinner last night. I attempted to cook something using a technique I saw on one of Jamie Oliver’s shows – steaming something in a foil pouch. Of course, it didn’t quite go according to plan since I didn’t finish watching the show and I used different ingredients. Anyway, the salmon steak turned out alright but the carrots and baby asparagus were undercooked. I think it’s cause I tried to steam them in the same pouch as the fish. It’s wasn’t the greatest dish I’ve made, especially given the number of bones in the fish, but James and Amy made a good show of politely eating what was offered.
