December 23, 2003 One Tax to Rule Them and in Darkness Bind Them
Had the joy of experiencing the Inland Revenue today. It wasn’t so bad and was actually mildly pleasant. Well lit rooms, open counters, ticketing system….suppose it’s in preparation for when they slam you with your tax bill. Yep, mine gave me a heart attack but not as much as I was expecting. Still cashflow problems and ATM limits meant I have to wait yet another day to pay my taxes and now looks like I won’t be paid till the very end of this month. I guess that’s the price of being complacent and lazy.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing the final LOTR film tonight with the people from the Loop. Meeting up with some of them for dinner at the food market at Pacific Place. Originally Dan Ryan’s was suggested but after I got my final tax bill, I’m not feeling so rich anymore.
