For those of you interested, some justice is to be had for lewd behaviour in China. This article explains the recent court rulings against those involved and the background of it.

It’s good that they go after these people. It sounded quite depraved given it was on the eve of the anniversary of Japan’s invasion of China. Well, it would have sounded depraved anyway without the historical backdrop. This sort of reputation doesn’t do either country any good. It sort of raises questions about the Japanese mentality and if a group of business indulge in this behaviour that obviously has nationalistic undertones to it, albeit the more darker and perverse nature of the Japan’s history in China, then have they atoned for the past? Sure, two atomic bombs goes a long way to atone for past atrocities, but it doesn’t excuse current behaviour.

One feels sorry for the Chinese involved in this endeavour. Surely having involved in the procurement of their own nationals for the amusement of Japanese business men out to celebrate the invasion of their country would label them as traitors. Selling out your country’s pride is low, especially if it’s for a quick buck. Sure, the triads dealt with the Japanese during their occupation, and are responsible for the scores of comfort girls, but I’m sure it had much to do with survival too. In this case, there was no occupying army to deal with and even so, organising such an event, there was no doubt an amusement factor involved too. I’m sure that they’ll have their fun in jail as they become reacquainted with the word “patriotic”.

I do feel for the women who would be punished as a result of this. Sure, some might say that they were there voluntarily, either for the event or the desire to work in that profession. But I doubt that very much. I’m not going into a diatribe about the rights or wrongs of prostitution, or the causes for it (I may yet do), but I’m reasonably sure that a lot did not have the choice.

Imagine, if you will, being subjected to having to fuck the shit out of someone who’s intention is to use you as a piece of meat simply to remind themselves of the dominance that their country had over your country in the past. With no choice in the matter, it tantamount to be raped via identity and no doubt a humiliating experience.

I’ve always believed that if you’re going to procure the services of someone selling you their body, then it’s only courtesy that you respect that and not demean them as a human being. This sort of orgy is disgusting on any level and I believe that the organiser should be punished for it. But at the same time, don’t punish the victims who are most likely to be the girls involved. Sure they might have been greedy, but we don’t know. In any case, it sure must have been a harrowing experience for them. And with only 185 girls to go around for 280 men, you work out the sordid details.

I’m sure I come of as a sanctimonious shit for my stance on this. But this event is truly abhorrent and represents the worst in human nature. If behaviour like this is condoned, why do you think so many Westerners think that coming to Asia is a quick and easy fuck? These people have sold their countries short.

They’re looking for three Japanese by the name of “Isao Hirobe,” “Shunji Takahashi” and “Koji Fukunaga”. There I’ve said my piece and done my bit.
