Walked into Pret as I usually do in the mornings to get my bottle of water (yep, at 10 bucks it’s a fine tasting sip of aqua!), and I noticed they’ve introduced the Christmas range of foods. It started with these annoying “oh so cute” mince pies that will go down a treat with slimming obsessed HK. But the highlight for me was the reintroduction of the Christmas Lunch sandwich.

A big breakfast to be sure…it’s turkey, stuffing, cranberries sauce and gravy all rolled into one sandwich. Hmmmmm….last Christmas (I gave you my heart) I succeeded in having one of these killer sandwiches everyday for breakfast and sometimes one for lunch too. I’m reasonably sure it’s a worldwide introduction, so try ‘em if you can get ‘em. If not, I’ll send you a sample, if I haven’t eaten it by the time I post it over.

Having said that, I’m off to see the Matrix tonight so after that I might not be able to truly appreciate the Christmas Lunch sandwich. I will have been enlightened and will realize that this is one big elaborate attempt to control me through my taste buds.
