Saving the Harbour
I got volunteered to help out my friend, Hilary, with the work she does on the protection of Hong Kong harbour from the land reclamation that is being done by the HK government. She’s Chair for the a group called the Friends of the Harbour, which is basically a support group for the Society for the Protection of the Harbour.
I volunteered to help with getting their website back up and running to a workable standard. It needs a major overhaul, backed up by an effective e-strategy. So I promised to do this within a week. It’s a huge task and to be honest, a challenge. But the way I’m feeling at the moment, I think I can take it on. It would be a big win for me personally if I can pull it off. Anyway, it also means that I’m apparently a member of the Executive Committee of the Friends of the Harbour. Lucky me, let’s hope I can live up to this responsibility.
